Natural Resources & Commodities Finance 2015

May 20 - May 21, 2015
I have attended more of these events in my career than I wish to disclose. This has been one of the best I have attended. Real people, very practical and extremely well organised.

Our approach

Our dynamic approach to the standard conference format was taken a step further.

The introduction of the TXF "duel", a rigorous four person debate, provided insight and strong opinions on the three most important topics in this market:

1) Energy: Current energy volatility and the impact on producers, traders and financiers
2) The Future of Structured Commodity Finance (SCF): 'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated' v. 'I told you I was ill'
3) Regulation: Regulation is killing SCF v. The industry needs rigorous regulation

In addition, we brought back all of our original elements including our capped-attendance "idea labs", small, discussion-based workshops, keynote panels and the TXF networking concierge service - all were very well received last year.

Venue

The DeLaMar Theater is another of TXF's innovative choices of venue. With it's selection of VIP rooms and workshop spaces, this is the perfect venue for TXF's interactive event.

While the commodities market is famously cyclical, the past year has been marked by some particularly turbulent changes in the industry landscape. TXF was joined by a global range of traders, producers, financiers, investors, economists, academics and consultants to discuss this issue.

TXF will incorporate capped-attendance idea labs, small workshop groups, games, panel sessions plus the TXF duels to help the industry answer the following questions:

- Is traditional commodity finance dying?
- The Big Energy Debate: How do we find a way out of the current market volatility?
- What are traders’ treasury strategies for the next few years?
- What is behind the increasing number of prepayment arrangements and where have all the PXFs gone?

Plus more....

This year, TXF added an industry dinner to the schedule. A resounding success, it was an informal TXF style dinner off-site, where guests ccould discuss the issues raised on day one, and more importantly, have some fun.

For further details on the industry dinner, please email us.
