TXF Paris - your questions answered

In the summer of 2016, it was all change in the French market and support for exports was becoming more important than ever. TXF Paris provided an unmissable opportunity to examine how we can innovate within export finance and ensure that it remains a core business for financiers, insurers, exporters and borrowers alike.

We answered all your burning questions, including:

How will a renewed government support for exports impact private insurance and banks?

Which countries are showing demand for French exports?

What is the current regulatory environment in France?

How competitive are French exports and French export finance globally – and what can be done to continue improving this?

What role will new technologies play in export finance?

What are the latest developments in local content requirements?

What will SFIL’s new refinancing programme look like?

How will Bpifrance be supporting French SMEs through export finance solutions?

What will the transfer of state guarantees from Coface to Bpifrance mean for you?

and much more...

TXF's unique, discussion based 'idea labs' and smaller workshop sessions encourage majority participation, whilst ensuring all guests feel comfortable airing their views, discussing challenges, and shaping the ideas that will continue to drive the French export finance market forward.

Will the transfer of state guarantees to Bpifrance mean greater access to export finance for French SMEs? How does Bpifrance’s direct lending programme for small ticket transactions work? What tools are ECAs, banks and the private insurance market offering SMEs? How important a role will SMEs play in export finance in the future? Deal or no deal

An engaging way to wrap up a day of discussion and end on a note of debate, this pricing session sees industry experts go through a series of hypothetical deal proposals and debate:

1. Whether they would do each deal

2. How they would price each deal.

In the process, the panel explores the key drivers behind signing deals and what needs to be done to get them done. The audience will also have the opportunity to get involved - by voting on how much they would rate each of the deals out of 10 before the panel gives its final verdict.
