Region:
Europe

Louis Taylor is to be the new CEO of British Business Bank, from his role as CEO of UK Export Finance (UKEF). His role will begin on 1 October. British Business Bank is the UK’s economic development bank. Taylor has been at UKEF since 2015, following a career in banking culminating as Standard Chartered’s COO for group treasury.

Taylor comments: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the British Business Bank with its well-established support for smaller businesses. Continuing to deliver the government's agenda for levelling up and and driving towards net zero is an exciting proposal."

Taylor replaces Catherine Lewis La Torre, the interim CEO of British Business Bank since its setup. She is set to remain at the bank in a role yet to be determined. Taylor’s replacement at UKEF has not yet been announced, but Taylor tells TXF UKEF is launching an open process shortly to recruit a successor.
