JBIC waives Indonesian government guarantee in new balance sheet play

JBIC has announced plans to fund infrastructure projects in Indonesia without guarantees from the Indonesian government. The 'new trend' makes Japanese exports more attractive to state-owned borrowers as it alleviates debt from the government's balance sheet, says one ECA finance expert.
