KfW: German SMEs are global competitiveness leaders

German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) believe they are very well equipped to compete with foreign rivals, according to development bank KfW's Competitiveness Indicator. American SMEs see themselves as impaired by bureaucratic hurdles and infrastructure deficiencies.
