Cargill profit jumps on strong meat and crops demand

US-based commodities trader Cargill has revealed adjusted operating earnings jumped almost 80% in the second quarter of 2016 to $1.03 billion. The leap was down to strong beef and turkey business results and robust demand for North American grain and oilseed crops.
