Paul Heaney is stepping into the newly-created role of Acting Secretary General of the Berne Union, the international association of export credit and investment insurance. In this role, Heaney will lead the operations of the Berne Union Secretariat. Heaney has been head of communications for the organisation for six years. He reports to Michal Ron, Berne Union's President.
