Mongolia's Oyu Tolgoi mine secures $4.4bn financing

Five export credit agencies (ECAs) and 15 banks have agreed a $4.4 billion project finance deal for the expansion of Rio Tinto's Oyu Tolgoi underground copper and gold mine in Mongolia. Export Development Canada and the Export-Import Bank of the United States were among the ECAs involved.
