BNDES will maintain tough lending practices, says new CEO

Paulo Rabello de Castro, the new CEO of Brazil's development bank, insisted the institution should not act as a "customer service counter" for businesses and should be run according to national development interests. Maria Silvia Bastos resigned as the head of BNDES last week.
