Yuan grows but US dollar dominates global payments

The US dollar remains the dominant currency in global payments, accounting for 51.9% of currency usage overall by value, according to SWIFT. But flows of the Chinese yuan between Asia-Pacific and both the UK and wider Europe have shown strong growth.
