New ECA advisory law firm in Turkey

Former colleagues at Turk Eximbank have established an export credit agency advisory law firm, ECA Advisers Türkiye, based in Ankara. Hakan Güraksu and Banu Erkök have joined forces to provide ECAs with advisory, credit and recovery services.  

Güraksu is a lawyer who spent a decade at Turk Eximbank claims and recoveries department. He has represented multiple ECAs including Sinosure for debt recovery under credit and investment insurance and specialises in debt collection. Erkök worked at Turk Eximbank for more than 25 years in multiple departments, including 19 in claims and recoveries and four in medium/long term (MLT) insurance, trade finance, reinsurance and international relations. She specialises in public private partnership projects. They are joined by a third founding partner, Başak Güraydın, who has been working as an attorney at law under the Ankara Bar Association since 2020.

ECA Advisers Türkiye is a law firm registered at the Ankara Bar, and since establishing in December 2022 has had cases in Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia. As well as Turkey, the company has local affiliates in Algeria, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Russia, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
