DFDS plans electric ferries for Channel routes

DFDS plans to invest €1 billion ($1.09 billion) to deploy six battery electric ships on the Dunkirk-Dover and Calais-Dover routes to carry passengers and freight .The first two electric vessels will be in operation by 2030, while the rest is expected to follow before 2035.
