Hapag-Lloyd secures $4bn financing for LNG boxships

Hapag-Lloyd has secured $4 billion in financing for 24 LNG dual-fuel boxships ordered from Chinese shipyards in October 2024. The shipping company is putting up $900 million of its own funds for the purchase, while $500 million will come from two banks via bilateral mortgage loans. $1.8 billion...
