Lending limit drop may spur oil industry shakeout

The borrowing bases for 45 speculative-grade oil and natural gas producers will fall by an average of 20% to 30% when banks take a fresh look in April, according to Standard & Poor's (S&P). The drop may make it difficult for some companies to stay in business.
